Spurs team to face Brighton: Fans’ favourite to return to line-up with goalkeeper change. Mauricio Pochettino has indicated that there will be changes to his Tottenham Hotspur side as they travel to Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

The Spurs boss has spoken about the difficulties in keeping all of his World Cup players fit and fresh following their efforts over the summer and he got plenty of people talking when he left Toby Alderweireld and Kieran Trippier out of the squad that travelled to Inter Milan.

Both players are likely to return to the starting XI for the match at Brighton, while in-form fans’ favourite Lucas Moura is expected to return to the team after coming off the bench at the San Siro and again showing how important he is for Tottenham right now.

Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko both returned to training on Thursday and will be assessed ahead of the match to decide whether they are fit enough to return to the squad.

Then there is Erik Lamela and Heung-Min Son. Both were substituted during the Champions League defeat in Italy after differing performances and Pochettino will have to decide which of them can start again after making their first starts of the season for the team. Harry Winks could also start his second consecutive Premier League game.

Another selection poser for Pochettino will be in goal. Hugo Lloris will not return to training until next week and the Tottenham manager must decide whether to stick with Michel Vorm, who has been between the sticks for three consecutive defeats, or give Paulo Gazzaniga a chance to prove himself.

Here is the team we reckon Spurs will start with:

(3-4-1-2): Gazzaniga; Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen; Trippier, Winks, Eriksen, Rose; Alli; Kane, Lucas.
